Dream it and KGT will design and build it

KGT Builders built a business on the concept of dream, design and build that’s found in the company logo. Many KGT customers return to completed renovation projects after trusting their homes and keys to the company. Hundreds of KGT projects range from bathrooms to homes gutted for complete renovation.

“Our virtual online portal lets customers follow their project’s progress from the comfort of their vacation or home,” said Theresa Ulrich, vice president in charge of fiscal operations.

“I concentrate on production, sales and estimating while our team completes the work,” said Greg Ulrich, president and operations manager. “Once I meet with the customer to determine their ideas, we begin the formal design and CAD workups with a design consultant.”

The KGT corporate name represents the first names of the Ulrich family: Kyle, the son of Greg and Theresa. The business expanded through the experience and contacts Ulrich made during his nearly four decades working with major developers. When the construction industry hit a slump, it was the worst time to start a new business, but Ulrich followed his dream then and follows customers’ dreams today.

“When new construction ground to a halt, I started knocking on doors, cold-calling, sending post cards and whatever it took to find remodeling work,” Ulrich said. “I wore many hats as I built a following on referrals, still important today.” Theresa joined the business in 2009. Today, they have a stable and qualified team for new home construction, home remodeling, bathroom remodeling, kitchen remodeling, outdoor kitchens and “whatever the homeowner can dream,” Ulrich said.

With more than a dozen industry affiliations plus licenses and certifications, recognition by the Collier Building Industry Association as Remodeler of the Year and multiple years as CBIA Sand Dollar Award recipients for excellence, the Ulrichs pride themselves on their company’s craftsmanship, work ethic and honesty.

“Greg is involved in his professional organizations and is a member of the round table that meets to discuss improvements in the industry,” said Theresa. “His affiliations and positive working relationships contribute to smooth processes such as permits and timely completions.” KGT engages in philanthropy through these professional organizations.

KGT uses quality products such as Kohler and Moen faucets and fixtures and a cabinet company’s solid wood doors and plywood boxes. “We also believe in continued professional development for us and for our staff,” said Theresa.

KGT recently gutted a 1970s condominium project. It was brand new when finished.

When they have spare time, fishing and old cars call to them both as members of the Antique Automobile Club of America.

Repeat customers keep them excited about building dreams. The KGT showroom is located at 1045 Collier Center Way, Unit 10, Naples. Call 239-992-2300 and see www.kgtremodeling.com
