Greg Ulrich of KGT Builders Named “Remodeler of the Year” by Collier Building Industry Association
Greg Ulrich, Founder and President of KGT Builders, has been named the 2015 “Remodeler of the Year” by the Collier Building Industry Association (CBIA). The award was presented to Ulrich during the CBIA annual holiday party.
This marks the second time KGT Builders has been honored by the CBIA in 2015. KGT was also recognized for Excellence in Space Renovation by a Remodeler at this year’s Sand Dollar Awards held in September.
Ulrich is a Philadelphia native who moved to Naples in 2001. With an extensive background in construction and two years of Architectural College, Ulrich founded KGT Builders in 2005 after nearly 45 years of work experience with major builders including Ulrich Homes in Pennsylvania, Centex Homes, Arthur Rutenberg Homes, and Toll Brothers.
Ulrich specializes in architecture drafting and design, carpentry, cabinetry, new home construction, quality control and project management. He and his wife, Theresa, have combined their knowledge and experience to create a remodeling firm dedicated to their customers.

Ulrich served as the CBIA President in 2014 and continues to contribute today as a member of the CBIA leadership team. Under Ulrich’s leadership last year, CBIA membership base grew by 20%, ranking CBIA fourth in their size category throughout the country. During his Presidential reign, Ulrich also led the effort to ensure support from the Collier County Commissions to roll-back the impact fee collection from permit to time of certificate of occupancy, saving builders much needed funds they could instead put towards building.
